BRIEF HISTORY

The History of ROF as handed over to us, started with the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorate into what is now known as Nigeria in 1914. We were told that before the advent of Colonial Rule in this Country, particularly in Yoruba land, the Ogboni Osugbo was the government of the people. Some call this Ogboni Osugbo, or Ogboni. . .

What We Belief

It is not a religion, but it is religious in character based on the belief in the Fatherhood of God; Brotherhood of man and the immortality of souls

It teaches Charity and Chasity.

It is a voluntary Organisation which the insterested join of their own freewill and Accord.

Religion and politics are not discussed in the proceedings.

It endeavours to make a good man, a better man, a good Christian a better Christian, a good Moslem a better Moslem, To be the best in the world.

It is not a secret society. It was registered as a friendly society by the Government of Nigeria since 17th June. 1943. The R.O.F Constitution is therefore available for all to see.

All it teaches are based on the GOLDEN RULE -"Love your neighbour as you Love yourself and do unto others as they would do unto you"

It teaches gratitude to God for His gracious and numerous blessing.

It teaches kindness at home, honeesty in business, courtesy in society, fairness in work, pity and concern for the unfortunate;

resisteance towards The wicked, help for the weak, forgiveness for the penitent, love for one another and above all REVERENCE AND LOVE FOR GOD.
